BALTIMORE - The Maryland State Department of Education will open part of its child care subsidy waiting list for low-income working families on November 19, 2012. With the reopening, child care subsidies will be available to eligible Maryland families with a child care need.
Eligibility for the subsidy is based on income level and family size. For example a family of three can have an annual gross income of up to $15,098 and still be eligible.
Vouchers will be issued to eligible families effective for service beginning November 19, 2012.
Families interested in getting on the mailing list can apply through their local department of social services. A list of local departments can be found at http://www.dhr.state.md.us/county.php
