WESTMINSTER, Md. - Students at Liberty High School are giving back to the community.  The Student Government Association presented Dr. Nita Ahuja with a check for $5400 for the Hopkins Sarcoma Research Fund.

Proceeds from the winter dance were donated to the charity.  It was the first successful winter dance in over six years at Liberty High.

The faculty and staff donated their time to help chaperone the dance and the student body supported the event with over 600 ticket sales.  The Student Government Association hopes to make this an annual event that will grow to raise more money for Sarcoma Research.
