JOPPA, Md - This week, Maryland teen Kacie Bawiec becomes published author with the nationwide release of her new novel, "Silver Dagger."
The book tells the story of Cassandra Monroe, who felt like the world ended when her younger sister, Emery, committed suicide. Bawiec is a high school student in Joppa, Maryland who lives with her parents, little sister, three cats and a puppy.
