BALTIMORE - Girl Scouts of the USA has joined forces with Sigma Gamma Rho, an African American sorority, to help build awareness of career possibilities, technology and engineering among girls and parents in the African American community.
The goal is to raise awareness and encourage African American girls to enter STEM careers and participate in GSUSA's Imagine Engineering Initiative. This initiative allows girls and their parents to learn more about engineering careers in aeronautical, biomedical, civil, electrical/computer, environmental, industrial, mechanical/design engineering.
The GSUSA's Imagine Engineering Initiative is funded by the National Science Foundation.
