Friendship Academy of Engineering and Technology hosts anti-bullying events

BALTIMORE - When your kids go to school they should feel safe. The last thing you want them to worry about is being bullied.

One local school is working to help keep your children safe.

The Friendship Academy of Engineering and Technology is hosting a pep rally, homecoming, forum, and conference to help stop bullying in children ages 6- 12.

Bullying doesn’t just happen at school, but at home and in our community, said Academy director Erika Goodridge.

The school has a zero tolerance for bullying and wants students to focus on getting educated and college graduates.

Here are several tips to help parents and victims of bullying:

• Parents, be open and available to talk with your children
• Parents, know who your children’s friends are and monitor their social media accounts
• Children, let someone know if you’re being bullying
