For the safety of students, teachers and visitors, Baltimore County schools involved in recent weapon-related incidents have been placed on lockdown. Windows and blinds were closed, lights were turned off and doors were locked. But, what else happened?

According to a 75-page document detailing emergency response protocols for the district, parents and guardians were also notified.

What else should have or could have been done?

You can view the entire document below. It’s revised every year, and after recent incidents new superintendent Dr. Dallas Dance said the newest revision may see changes related to those incidents.
