TOWSON, Md - Students, parents and educators will meet Tuesday night to discuss what Magnet School Programs have to offer in Baltimore County.  The group will meet at Loch Raven High School at 7pm.

There are more than 70 different magnet programs for elementary, middle and high school students in 29 schools across the county.  Four community forums have been scheduled to get feedback about magnet school programs.

Baltimore County Public Schools is seeking information about the reasons parents and their students apply to magnet programs, how effectively magnet programs meet the needs of students and how magnet programs can be improved.

Magnet programs are theme oriented programs with a specialized curriculum or an emphasis on instruction that is different from that generally offered in other schools in the school system.
