Catonsville, Md - Maryland Lt. Governor Anthony Brown will be the keynote speaker at the "Boots to Suits" symposium. It's a forum set to explore ways to boost the academic success of veterans.
It's hosted by the Community College of Baltimore County and the Veterans Integration to Academic Leadership (VITAL) program.
Student Veterans face multiple challenges that may prevent a successful degree completion. "Boots to Suits" will provide student veterans and campus supporters a forum to discuss pathways to successful transitions from military service to academic environments.
The symposium will address factors that can help promote successful academic careers, barriers to completion and how student veteran supporters can participate in the process.
The event will be held on Thursday April 18th from 2pm to 6pm in the Q Building on the CCBC campus at 800 South Rolling Road in Catonsville.
