BALTIMORE - New this morning, Newsweek Magazine has released its list of best high schools in the country and our Maryland has quite a good showing.
This year, the ranking highlights the best 1,000 public high schools in the nation. These schools have proven to be the most effective in turning out college-ready grads.
Maryland has 23 schools on the list.
The first school is Poolesville and it comes in at number 81. Centennial in Ellicott City is next ranking 111.Winston Churchhill is third in our state at 150. Thomas S. Wootton in Rockville is 212 and rounding out our state's top 5 is Hereford in Parkton at 239.
