BALTIMORE - It's almost time for students to head back to school.  The Baltimore County Department of Health is trying to help parents.  The Baltimore County Department of Health will provide recommended vaccines at no cost for children up to age 18 who are eligible under the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program.

The VFC program includes, among others, children who are eligible for Medicaid and children who have no health insurance.  No appointment is necessary.

Parents must bring a copy of their child's immunization record.  Meningitis vaccine will also be available at no cost for students entering college.

The clinics will be held on Monday August 6th from 10am to 3pm at the Woodlawn Health Center and Wednesday August 8th from 10am to 3pm at the Eastern Family Resource Center.

For more information on childhood immunization requirements, contact the Immunization Action Program at 410-887-2705 or visit http://www.baltimorecountymd.gov/go/health
