Baltimore Community Foundation Awards $200,000 in College Scholarships

BALTIMORE - The Baltimore Community Foundation (BCF) announced $200,000 in scholarship awards to 64 Maryland students.  BCF is home to nineteen scholarship funds.

Charles R. Dick Ward Scholarship is new.  It's a $20,000 award designated for students graduating from Digital Harbor High School who participated in the Building STEPS program. 

"A well educated workforce is crucial to our goal of a Baltimore with a growing economy where all have the opportunity to thrive and BCF is proud to support this vision by helping young people realize their dreams of attending college," said BCF President and CEO Tom Wilcox.

Awards from 19 scholarship funds at BCF range from $500 to $20,000 each and go to students planning to pursue or currently pursuing higher education.
