54 Baltimore County Public School students to be honored by Carson Scholars Fund

TOWSON, Md - Thirteen Baltimore County Public Schools students are among the 425 new students to be named  2013 Carson Scholars by the Carson Scholars Fund.

The Fund recognizes high achieving students in grades 4 -11 who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and humanitarian qualities.  Each Carson Scholar receives a $1,000 college scholarship award.

In addition to the scholarship award, the selected students will be honored at a recognition banquet on Sunday April 7, 2013 at Martin's West in Woodlawn.

The Carson Scholars Fund was founded by world renowned Johns Hopkins Hospital pediatric neurosurgeon Dr. Benjamin Carson and his wife Candy Carson.
