GLEN BURNIE, Md. - The A Tribute to Women of Color organization will honor the work of 16 young women and 13 young men at its 21st annual awards luncheon.
More than 140 students applied for this year's Future Leader Awards, designed to encourage and inspire high school students with minority backgrounds who show potential to continue their roles as student leaders.
"Our students are talented and work extremely hard to be well-rounded young people. They deserve to be recognized," said Anne Arundel County Public Schools Superintendent Kevin Maxwell.
The luncheon will be held at 11am on Saturday March 2nd at the La Fontaine Bleue in Glen Burnie.
