A Delaware beach community seeking to promote local businesses plans to offer advertisements on the back of lifeguard stands this summer.
Officials in Fenwick Island hope the Lifeguard Sponsorship Program will generate thousands of dollars in revenue.
The program will run from May 25 through September 15.
Businesses can purchase advertising space for differing amounts depending on the desired size of the signs.
