CUMBERLAND, Md. - An Allegany County high school principal has decided to get rid of an annual dance because he feels the dancing has gotten too dirty.

The sweetheart dance, held every February, was the first casualty of the crackdown on dirty dancing, but principal Mike Calhoun says that the Spring Prom is in jeopardy too.

The cancelation was prompted by the school's autumn homecoming dance held Wednesday, where principal Calhoun says students ignored the student government guidelines for appropriate behavior.
