LAUREL, Md. (WMAR) - A drug warrant search in Howard County turned into a pursuit and ended in two arrests this afternoon.
Howard County Police were serving a search warrant on a drug investigation at the Turf Motel in the 9800 block of Washington Blvd as part of an ongoing investigation. As police were preparing to serve the warrant, the saw two suspects, a male and female, get into a Ford Taurus and drive off.
Police tried to make a traffic stop, but the male driver wouldn't stop. Officers followed the car, which traveled at reasonable speeds on various roadways, through multiple jurisdictions until the suspect stopped on I-95 near I-695.
The two occupants surrendered and were arrested.
The preliminary searches of the motel room and the vehicle have uncovered drugs and guns.
The two suspects are now in police custody and charges are pending.
