HOWARD COUNTY, Md. (WMAR) - Howard County Police have arrested and charged three men in connection with five home burglaries in the western part of the county.
Police say they are also investigating the possibility that the three were involved in additional cases.
Andrew Harrison Harker, 22, William Edward Selby, 49 and Joshua Alexander Santilli, 23, were all charged with various counts of burglary and theft.
The arrests closed five cases, a July 3 burglary in the 3000 block of Florence Road, an August 3 and August 9 burglaries in the 2100 block of Mount View Road. an August 14 burglary in the 600 block of West Watersville Road and the August 22 burglary in the 13000 block of Burntwoods Road.
Santilli was arrested after police saw him committing a burglary in the 13000 block of Burntwoods Road. Through the investigation, police had identified Santilli as a suspect and were conducting surveillance on him at the time.
Also, police were able to locate some of the stolen property which lead to additional suspects.
In the August 9 burglary, a resident confronted Selby, inside her home, she told him to leave and he complied. She later noticed her wallet was missing from her purse.
In the August 14 incident, a resident came home to find an unfamiliar car in his driveway. He then saw a man walking from behind his house toward the car. When confronted, the man made an excuse and drove off.
All three men are believed to have been involved in similar incidents in the area.
