COLUMBIA, Md. - Anthony Patrick Parker, 53, who was wanted for first-degree murder in the fatal stabbing death of Phillip Wise turned himself in to police this evening.
Phillip Wise was found suffering from a stab wound in a parking lot in the 5500 block of Harper's Farm Road and was pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital.
A 911 caller told police that he was inside his apartment when he heard his car alarm going off around 4:30 p.m., yesterday.
When he went outside to check the car, he saw the victim lying near it, stabbed.
Investigators believe the victim may have collapsed against the car, setting off the alarm, before falling to the ground.
Detectives have learned that Parker and Wise were seen with a group of people hanging out around a silver van in the parking lot. Witnesses reported an altercation between the two and saw Parker and several other people drive off in a van.
The van was located on Columbia Road, with blood on the from fender.
The owner of the van has not been charged with a crime, Wise has been charged with first-degree murder.
