ELLIOTT CITY, Md. (WMAR) - The former assistant principal at Howard High School has been sentenced to five years in prison.
Prosecutors say Patricia Kelly Murray, 40, stole credit cards from school employees and used the cards on a December shopping spree.
In June, Murray pleaded guilty to use of a stolen credit cards to purchase goods in excess of $500, identity fraud, and theft under $1,000 in two of the three cases.
In addition to the five-year sentence, Judge Dennis Sweeney ordered Murray pay restitution to the credit card companies that suffered loss and three years of supervised probation.
Court officials say Murray will ultimately spend 90 days in jail.
