4 out of 5 indicted in hotel meth bust

ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (WMAR) - Four out of five men have been indicted on charges in connection with a methamphetamine lab at the Holiday Inn Express in Elkridge.

Amos Joel Martin, Josiah David Martin, both of Mesick Mi., and Forrest Derrick Rhoades and Joshua W. Matthews, both of Sallisaw Ok., were all indicted in the case. The State's Attorney's Office has nolle prossed charged against Spencer Allen Smith of Lack Haven, Pa.

In June, police and fire personnel arrived at the hotel and evacuated the entire floor after they found a strong odor coming from the floor.

Detectives at the time believed the methamphetamine was going to be used by the men who were traveling through the area for work because they couldn't find it locally.
