ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (WMAR) - Howard County Police are investigating the shooting of a 15-year-old boy.

Police say the boy was found in a field by a nearby resident with a gunshot wound in the 11400 block of Frederick Road just after 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Investigators believe the teen, who lives in Baltimore County, was driven to the location by unknown suspects where he exited the car and was shot.

Police think the victim was involved in an ongoing dispute that may have lead to the incident.

The teen suffered a single gunshot wound to the head. The details are still unknown, but the teen is currently listed in critical but stable condition at a local hospital.

Police have offered a reward of up to $2,000 for anyone with any information that leads to a conviction. If you have any information please call police at 410-313-STOP
