BEL AIR, Md. (WMAR) - Police in Harford County need your help to find the person responsible for hitting a woman and then fleeing the area.
Police say the victim is a 28-year-old Harford County woman who was hit by a 'sky blue' passenger car with a broken passenger side mirror.
At about 7:40 p.m., Maryland State Police responded to Route 1 just north of the Hickory bypass. Witnesses told police that the woman was near or in the roadway waving her arms. The witness said that the suspect vehicle swerved to the left, apparently attempting to avoid the woman, but hit her with the passenger side mirror.
The car was seen pulling to the shoulder of the road about 500 feet up the road, but then pulled away and left the area.
The woman was taken to a local hospital where she is said to be in stable condition.
Anyone with any information is asked to call police at 410-879-2101.
