JARRETTSVILLE, Md. (WMAR) -

Police in Harford County are trying to figure out how a suspect in a home invasion was stabbed.

Police say they responded to the 1700 block of Paddock Court in Jarrettsville at about 8:30 p.m.

The preliminary information suggests that a man entered the home and went into the basement where he was confronted by the homeowners two sons.

A struggle ensued and one of the sons stabbed the suspect in the stomach.

When officers arrived they called for a medic, and the man was flown to Shock Trauma.

His condition wasn't immediately available.
