Pit bull shot in the head, dies

ABERDEEN, Md. (WMAR) - Police in Aberdeen are searching for someone who shot and killed a put bull.

Officers responded to the first block of Liberty Street at about 8:30 p.m., Sunday to investigate a report of a dog that had just been shot.

Police say a resident told them that he had heard the dog bark then a gunshot.

When residents went outside, they found the dog dead from a single gunshot wound to the head, and no one around.

The investigation is still ongoing and police ask if you have any information to please call them at 410-272-2121.
