ABERDEEN, Md. (WMAR) -

Police in Aberdeen are asking for your help to identify a minivan that may have witnessed the suspect in the Vi Ripken kidnapping case.

Police say the armed abduction of Vi Ripken from her home on July 24, remains an active investigation. Police have released new images of the suspect that were captured at the Walmart store in the 6700 block of Chesapeake Center Drive in Glen Burnie and the Walmart in the 100 block of Carroll Island Road in Middle River.

Investigators would like to identify the owner of the green Dodge minivan shown in the photos, because they believe that they may have contact with the suspect at the Walmart in middle River.

The minivan is not a suspect vehicle, just a possible witness of the suspect. The photos of the van were taken at the Walmart on Carroll Island Road and the vehicle appears to have an unknown type of stickers on both backside windows.

Anyone who recognizes the potential witness vehicle is asked to call police at 410-272-2121.
