Man charged in 4-year-old's sex assault

EDGEWOOD, Md. (WMAR) -
A 22-year-old Edgewood man has been charged in the sexual assault of a 4-year-old girl.
According to charging documents, Ryan Grimm has been charged with second and third degree sex offense and second degree assault for the November 5 incident.
The girl initially reported that he had pain in her private area. She also told her mother that a man was in a house with her to help her father remodel a space.
The following day, the child was taken to the Child Advocacy Center. She told investigators that Grimm had sat next to her and that he had caressed her and then touched her.
Officials say Grimm was helping with a remodel and had slept over at the residence where the girl was also staying.
A court date for Grimm's arraignment had been set for December 17, however, it has been postponed with no new date.
