SALISBURY, Md. (AP) - A Salisbury woman has been accused of grabbing an infant by the hair and throwing in onto the floor.

Twenty-four-year-old Nicolle Sanon is charged with first-degree assault and other offenses. She's being held on $20,000 bond.

Salisbury Police say about 1:35 a.m. Thursday, Sanon went to a home where a woman lived with whom she had a continuing dispute. Officers say the woman answered the door holding the 2 1/2 month-old infant in her arms.

Police say Sanon threw the boy to the ground, then began punching and biting the woman.

Authorities say Sanon fled but was arrested at her home.

The infant was taken to a local hospital.
