OCEAN CITY, Md. (WMAR) - Three men have been charged after police say they smoke marijuana in front of the police station during their shift change.
At about 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, Ocean City Police were in the parking lot of the Public Safety Building in the process of their shift change. While in the lot, officers noticed a black Hyundai with the windows down and three men in and around the car.
As officers passed the men, they noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car. Officers identified the men as Vance Austin Embry, 19, Wayne Michael Jelinek and Julian Dominick Jordano, 19.
The three were ordered to get out of the vehicle. Police searched the car and found several bags of marijuana, paraphernalia and dextroamphetamine, which is a schedule I controlled dangerous substance.
Embry was charged with possession of marijuana and three counts of possession of paraphernalia. Jelinek and Jordano were charged with possession of a dextroamphetamine.
All three men were released on their own personal recognizance.
