GEORGETOWN, Del. (AP) - A Delaware judge has approved the extradition to Maryland of a Sussex County man accused of killing a fellow church worker.
Following a hearing Thursday, Superior Court Judge T. Henley Graves ordered the extradition of 28-year-old Matthew Burton of Dagsboro to face murder charges in Worcester County, Md.
Burton is charged with killing 35-year-old Nicole Bennett, whose body was found on an embankment in Worcester County in June.
Bennett's husband reported her missing to Delaware State Police on June 15 after she didn't return home from her job at a Gumboro church where Burton worked as a custodian.
