CENTREVILLE, Md. - A registered sex offender in Maryland is in even more trouble after authorities caught him looking at child porn.
Deputies with the Queen Anne's County Office of the Sheriff say Jeffrey Goad, 50, of Millington, was at the county's public library on June 5th, when an anonymous complaint was filed, claiming Goad was looking at child porn.
A deputy went to the library and spotted Goad, who is a Tier III offender, looking at suspicious materials on a public access computer. Following that incident, a search warrant was obtained by law enforcement, who searched Goad's belongings.
The Sheriff's office says they found seven photographs and two videos featuring suspected child pornography.
Goad has been charged with nine counts of possession child pornography. As a Tier III offender, he is required to register for life. The Maryland Sex Offender Registry lists his charge as sexual abuse of a minor.
