SALISBURY, MD - Wicomico County Sheriff showed up to a house on Civic Avenue, August 15, in response to a burglary in progress.  The owner of the home had called them claiming a man was beating on his front door demanding to be let in. In fear that the man might break down the door he retreated to a room upstairs and called the Sheriff's Office.

Deputies entered the home to find Russell Neff sitting in the homeowners chair in his underwear after he removed his clothes. Neff was in the process of licking the homeowners remote control and also cooking himself a chicken pot pie in the kitchen.

The deputies had a hard time arresting Neff because of his resistance and the struggle that ensued.

He was taken to the Central Booking Unit, processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. The Commissioner had Neff detained in the Detention Center with a $250,000.00 bond.

Neff is charged with Burglary 1st Degree, Theft of a Chicken Pot Pie, Malicious Destruction of Property, and Resisting Arrest.
