ELKTON, Md. (AP) - A trial date has been scheduled for a New Jersey doctor charged with murder for providing late-term abortions in Maryland.

The Cecil Whig reports that 55-year-old Dr. Steven Chase Brigham's case will be heard from June 6-15 in Cecil County Circuit Court in Elkton.

Brigham, of Voorhees, N.J., and Dr. Nicola Riley of Salt Lake City, Utah, were indicted under a Maryland law that allows murder charges to be brought in the death of a viable fetus.
