ELKTON, Md. - Cecil County authorities have seized 11 pit bulls and more than 100 marijuana plants during a search of an Elkton home.

The Cecil County Drug Task Force searched the home in the 300 block of Red Hill Road on Thursday, uncovering a suspected dogfighting ring. Investigators found K-9 performance-enhancing drugs, antibiotics, a pistol, intravenous fluids, and a video of six dogfighting matches, among other things.

Officials say they discovered some of the dogs chained to the marijuana plants.

Police say no one was at home during the search and no arrests were made.
