WESTMINSTER, Md. (WMAR) -

Westminster Police are asking for your help to identify those involved in a string of car break-ins.

Police say the break-ins and thefts occurred in the western portion of the City overnight Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning in several communities along Route 31.

A total of 8 cars and 1 storage trailer were entered during the overnight hours. Police say it appears that all of the vehicles were unlocked at the time of the thefts, although a padlock was cut off the storage trailer.

A variety of property was stolen from the vehicles, including GPS units, iPads, iPods, radar detectors and other electronic devices, a wallet and a small amount of cash.

Thefts were reported along Medinah Circle, Avenel Circle, Ewing Drive, Tram Way, Caldara Court and Richmar Drive.

A $250 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the thefts.

Residents are reminded to lock their vehicles and to secure valuables to minimize the risk of thefts.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Captain Nancy Yeager at 410-848-4280.
