WESTMINSTER, Md. - A Westminster man has been arrested and charged with a stabbing in March at a private house in Taneytown.
The Carroll County Sheriff's Office announced Saturday that 23-year-old Brian Keith McIntyre is charged with first-degree assault and carrying a dangerous weapon for the March 3 assault.
During the incident, deputies were called to the Carroll Hospital Center for a patient suffering from a stab wound. The victim was a 26-year-old man. He told police he was at a part outside of Taneytown when he tried to break up an argument and remove several people from a party.
Authorities say a struggle that ensued drew a crowd of more than 20 spectators. The victim was stabbed in the struggle.
