WESTMINSTER, Md. - A Westminster man has been charged with assault for firing a shotgun near his neighbor's goats.
Fifty-two-year-old Floyd Boyer was also charged Monday with reckless endangerment in the June 15 incident. He was released on $10,000 bail.
The Carroll County Times, citing court documents, reports that two goats owned by Boyer's neighbor wandered onto his property and began to eat from his vegetable garden.
The documents say Boyer fired a shotgun into the air and yelled at the neighbor. The neighbor went to retrieve the goats when Boyer allegedly fired a second shot.
Neither the neighbor nor the goats were hit.
