Man indicted in restaurant homicide

WESTMINSTER, Md. (WMAR) - A Westminster man has been charged with 18 different criminal charges for his role in the shooting death of 36-year-old David Garrett.

Jacob Brian Bircher, 24, was indicted today on first and second degree murder, manslaughter and other related offenses for the homicide.

Bircher is accused of shooting two people on July 13 at the Harvest Inn Restaurant and Bar in Eldersburg. A 25-year-old Howard County man was also injured in the shooting.
