WESTMINSTER, Md. (WMAR) - Westminster City Police have charged an 18-year-old man they say attempted to commit several armed robberies on Saturday night near McDaniel College.

Police charged Tyler Gene Wadsworth on Tuesday with three counts each of attempted armed robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felon, first degree assault and four counts of attempted theft.

Police say all the attempted robberies happened along Pennsylvania Avenue.

Wadsworth is currently awaiting a bond hearing.
