ELDERSBURG, Md. (WMAR) - Carroll County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating the serious assault of a 57-year-old Eldersburg man.
Just before 11:00 a.m., Deputies were dispatched to a home in the 1900 block of Stillwater Road for the assault. Deputies responded to find a man bleeding from a head wound.
It was learned that an unknown man and woman approached his home and asked to use the phone, but he refused and went back inside only to leave a few moments later.
As the victim was getting into his car, the two subjects, both armed with unknown weapons accosted him, demanding that he let them inside his home. When he denied again, both of the suspects hit him in his head.
When the victim started yelling for help, the two suspects fled on foot.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The suspects are described as a black male about 6'0" tall, in his mid-20's, wearing a black shirt and black pants. The female suspect was described as a black female, about 6'0" tall, in her mid-20's wearing a long yellow dress with black shoulder length hair.
