HAMPSTEAD, Md. - Police in Hampstead have arrested two men after they say they falsely identified themselves as police officers, robbed another at knife point before beating the victim.
Hampstead Police say the robbery happened on January 25 on Sycamore Drive when a suspect entered through an unlocked basement door and confronted the resident with a knife.
The suspects announced themselves as police officers and then forced their way into the home.
The suspects then beat the victim and took a .223 caliber Century Arms Model C93 rifle.
Police arrested Robert Lease, Jr and Charles Wilkerson, and charged them both with robbery.
The stolen weapon in this case has not yet been recovered.
Police are also looking for Wilkerson's 1999 white Dodge van with MD registration 1AJ1050. The van is a former Naylor's Plumbing Van and Naylor may still be seen on the side of the van.
