ELDERSBURG, Md. - A 21-year-old Eldersburg man is in Shock Trauma after being punched in the face early Sunday morning in Carroll County.
Michael Schwartz Jr., the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office said, was arrested and charged him with second- degree assault. The sheriff’s office said Schwartz, who was unprovoked, punched the victim in the face around 1:25 a.m. Sunday. The victim then fell to the ground, struck his head on the pavement and was knocked unconscious.
The victim was transported by private vehicle to Carroll Hospital Center, and after being stabilized, was transferred to Shock Trauma where he is in critical but stable condition, police said.
