RANDALLSTOWN, Md. - Two people were arrested Monday after a 17-year-old girl was shot and killed early Sunday morning in Randallstown.
According to Baltimore County Police, officers found 22-year-old Darnell Hill with a gunshot wound to his torso in the area of Stansfield Lane and Stansfield Court at about 4:45 a.m. Sunday.
They also found 17-year-old Katelyn Messina. She had been shot in the chest and head.
Both were taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma where Katelyn was later pronounced dead.
Detectives are still investigating, but believe that Messina and Hill knew the two suspects who have been arrested.
17-year-old Ryan Mackenzie McLean and 18-year-old Elrich Delona Smith were arrested Monday.
Smith is charged with one count of first-degree murder, one count of attempted first-degree murder, and using a handgun.
McLean is charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder.
Detectives are still trying to identify a motive for the shooting.
Both McLean and Smith are being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
