TOWSON, Md. - A female Towson University student was raped outside an off-campus apartment, university officials said.
Towson University spokesman Gay Pinder said the attack occurred around 1 a.m.at the University Village complex in the 400 block of Campus View Drive. She added that Baltimore County police are leading the investigation and could not offer additional details at this time.
However, Pinder said "all the university resources are being made available to the victim and family as she begins the recovery process.”
Baltimore County police spokeswoman Cathy Batton said investigators believe the attack took place sometime between 12:53 and 1:20 a.m. Batton said the 19-year-old victim told police she was approached by two men when one of them grabbed her from behind, threw her to the ground and assaulted her. Batton could not offer a description of the suspects.
