Police: Father stabbed multiple times by son

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (WMAR) - Update: Police have charged Jonathan Suss with attempted first and second degree murder, and first and second degree assault in the stabbing of his father.

Suss is being held on a $35,000 bond.

A man sustained serious injuries after police say his son stabbed his father multiple times during an argument.

Police and fire personnel responded to the unit block of Melissa Court at about 6: 30 p.m. for reports of a stabbing.

Once on the scene they discovered that a 23-year-old man stabbed his father multiple times during a family argument.

A family member intervened in the stabbing and the son also suffered some type of injury.

The father was transported to Maryland Shock Trauma where he is listed in stable, non-life threatening condition.

The son was taken to a different area hospital with minor injuries. Police plan to charge the son once he is treated and released from the hospital.

Police have not yet identified the victim or his son.
