TOWSON, Md. (WMAR) -

Baltimore County Police have arrested and charged two men with the 2009 murder of Rodney Lewis.

On September 30, 2009, at about 4:00 p.m., officers responded to the 9500 block of Liberty Road for an unknown trouble call. A caller reported that they found the body of Rodney Lewis deceased on the kitchen floor.

It was determined that Lewis died of multiple sharp force injuries and that his death was a homicide.

During the investigation, detectives learned that Eric Isaiah Johnson was staying with Lewis and his wife around the time of the murder. Johnson and a friend, Leonard Briscoe, entered the home on the day of the murder and began to steal valuables.

While the two were inside the home, Lewis unexpectedly came home. There was a physical confrontation between Lewis and Johnson, and Lewis was fatally stabbed during the struggle.

Johnson was arrested on January 2 and Briscoe was arrested on January 3.

Both have been charged with one count of first degree murder and are being held without bail.
