BALTIMORE - A 43-year-old Randallstown man was arrested this week, following a Baltimore County grand jury indictment related to the assault of a nursing home patient.

The arrest of Raphael Nyong Asinyang was announced Thursday.

Officials say it's alleged Asinyang, employed as a caregiver at the nursing home, physically assaulted to 84-year-old male resident on November 7, 2012.

Asinyang is charged with one misdemeanor count of abuse of a vulnerable adult and one misdemeanor count of assault. The charges carry maximum jail sentences of five and 10 years.

Asinyang's criminal indictment is scheduled for April 11.
