You now have the chance to report minor crimes online in Baltimore County.

The Office of Information Technology and the county police department launched the new online crime reporting tool.

It allows people to report certain crimes without calling 911.

Once you file a report, the police department's records division reviews it.

Then you receive an email containing a case number.

You can find the online tool on the county's website under the police tab.
