BALTIMORE - A man is in critical condition at Shock Trauma after he was hit by a car while standing next his disabled vehicle on 695 early Saturday morning.
According to police, around 1:40 Saturday morning officers were called to the ramp from I-70 to the Inner Loop of I-695 for a report of pedestrian being struck.
When officers arrived, medics already on the scene were preparing to take Khmaladze to Shock Trauma.
A preliminary investigation found that Khmaladze was standing on the slow-shoulder of the highway, next to his broken down car, when he was hit by a passing vehicle that did not stop at the scene. Police do not have a description of the striking vehicle at this time.
Maryland State Police are investigating. If you have any information about this crash please call Maryland State Police at 410-780-2700.
