Man shot near Catonsville High Identified

CATONSVILLE, Md. - Baltimore County Police are identifying the man shot as he attempted to strike an officer with his car as Steven David Gary, 45. His last known address is in the 700 block of Cloudyfold Drive, 21208.
The defendant has been charged with first degree assault, second degree assault, theft from $10,000 to $100,000, and reckless endangerment. He remains under guard at the hospital. A bail amount of $35,000 has been set.
The officer involved in the shooting is identified as Officer Boone, a 13 year veteran currently assigned to Precinct 1/Wilkens patrol. Per department policy, he has been placed on routine administrative leave.
