CATONSVILLE, Md. (WMAR) - It's not free HBO or a continental breakfast. It's crime tape, much more than renters bargained for.
"If you didn't come here, I wouldn't have even known what was going on," said Deerdra Cetoute-Jackson, who’s staying at the hotel.
Around back at the Ramada Limited on Route 40 in Catonsville, a rowdy scene has cleared out. Witnesses describe a party of at least 50 people early Sunday morning.
Off camera, they tell us they were upstairs until the fight started in the parking lot.
"Nobody has said anything cause you know they have breakfast from like 6:30 to 9:30. They didn't say anything, nothing," said Cetoute-Jackson.
Here's what we know from Baltimore County Police. A call for a fight came in around 1:30 a.m. Officers found 18-year-old Kevin Glasgow on the ground. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
"That's really sad. I had no idea," said Cetoute-Jackson.
Officers did knock on several hotel rooms, trying to get information. Katreal Paige says many people call the hotel a second home.
"I wouldn't expect it to be like right here where I'm staying," said Paige.
The hotel staff says they only rent to people who are at least 21 years old, but the person in charge could not say who the room was under. For Deerdra Cetoute-Jackson, who's visiting from MA, it's a memory she would rather leave in Baltimore County.
"I wouldn't really expect it around this area, maybe more toward the city like a couple blocks down," said Cetoute-Jackson.
Glasgow lived just a mile away from where he was killed. We went by his home, but the family had no comment.
